Experts

The foundation's founding donors are involved in the projects. They each contribute their own expertise.

Frans TetterooFrans was trained as a plant breeder and biotechnologist and started working as a researcher for Royal Sluis and later at Incotec. Coating seeds was his subject and at Incotec he developed a lot of knowledge about materials, minerals, nutrients, crop protection products and micro-organisms. He also gained experience with various mechanical production processes for coating and sowing seeds. From his employers he got the opportunity to do PhD research at the Department of Plant Physiology of the WUR (Wageningen University and Research Center) on drought tolerance. His practical experiences were thereby broadened with fundamental seed physiological knowledge. Coaching and mentoring of colleagues are also part of Frans' skills.

Ronald SiffelsRonald has been working in the "green" sector for almost his entire working life. The common denominator has always been the seed industry and still is. He started in the seed industry at Royal Sluis. The positions have almost always been linked to sales activities. The start was in Scandinavia with the ornamentals. This later moved on to the vegetables where he visited Poland and Egypt, among other countries. Ronald has now been working for Incotec for 18 years in various sales positions: Account Manager, Sales Manager NW Europe, Business Area Manager Vegetables and now for several years as Key Account Manager. In addition to the Sales positions, Ronald was always closely involved in product management, focusing on new products. Placing new developments / products in the market with the right value creation, he finds a challenge. Negotiating has always been one of his drivers both on the sales and the purchasing side.

In memoriam JanWillem Breukink

JanWillem, co-founder and treasurer of Seed4Farmers, sadly passed away on 4 January 2020 at the age of 67. He still had so many plans and was very much involved in our foundation and all his other activities for the seed (technology) world. Unfortunately, we will have to do without his person, contribution and expertise. But what he has "sown" will never be lost! That is why our logo is very fitting for JanWillem and his way of working and we will continue it.
